Response to Shrek:
Parody or Form of Retaliation
“Shrek: Parody or Form of Retaliation” makes
a point that <Shrek> is not only Parody but Form of Retaliation. This essay
expose the conflict between Jeffrey
Katzenberg and Michael Eisner to public. Katzenberg announced
that Disney had defaulted his wage when he was employed by Disney and Disney
had got profit because of his movies. Due to the conflict, <Shrek >is considered
as a retaliation to Disney. Because the obvious difference that Katzenberg
point out that everyone has right to receive love, no matter who they are,
which is satire for Disney.
As far as I am concerned, it is the parody
and the idea of <Shrek> which is a satire to Disney attracts audiences. Throw
off the conflict between Katzenberg and Eisner, what I see is think outside the
box makes Katzenberg get huge success. The satire for Disney movies can be
considered as a retaliation, but it can be considered as breaking the way of
Disney, and it not only sets me pondering on the important of drop out of some “normal”
routine but also how to use an appropriate way to get the objective with opponent’s
“help”
